The Millsaps College women’s golf team was ranked ninth in the 2026 Southern Athletic Association preseason poll, released Wednesday by the conference office. The poll was based on votes from league coaches.
Last season, Millsaps finished sixth in the conference championship. The team faces new competition this year with the addition of Trinity University, Southwestern University and Maryville College to the conference.
Junior Abigail Cerwick opened the season strong, finishing second at the Roger Lundy Alabama Invasion on Sept. 6. The Majors’ next tournament is the Space City Classic in Houston, Texas, March 9-10.
The preseason poll’s top five includes Trinity, Sewanee, Oglethorpe, Southwestern and Centre. Millsaps received 16 points in the rankings.
