Millsaps Tennis Teams Prepare for 2026 Season with New Faces and Experience

Jackson, Miss. — The Millsaps College men’s and women’s tennis teams are returning to the courts for the 2026 season, with several new players and experienced upperclassmen leading the way, according to school officials.

The teams will play a combined 18 matches, with 11 scheduled at home on the Coach Montgomery Courts in Jackson. The women’s team features 13 student-athletes, including seven newcomers. Senior Alexis Oliver, the only returning upperclassman on the women’s squad, leads the team after missing the 2024 season due to injury. Last year, she posted five singles wins and seven doubles wins, half against Southern Athletic Association opponents.

Oliver is supported by a strong sophomore class that includes ITA Scholar-Athletes Riley McClain, Malakie Smith, and Skylar Spinks. Together, they have accumulated 36 wins in their first year with the Majors. Freshman Bella-Bennett Graham will make her collegiate debut this season, while former Millsaps volleyball player Virginia Trible joins the team as a sophomore.

The women’s team is looking to qualify for the SAA Championship for the third consecutive year after earning back-to-back appearances. In men’s tennis, senior Sam Tuli leads the squad, remaining the only upperclassman after a large graduating class. Tuli has 39 career wins across three seasons. Sophomore Sebastian Gonzalez, who earned two doubles wins last year, is also returning.

A group of new players, including Anderson Causey, Jon Nguyen, Cooper Payne, Brennan Pierce, and Bradley Schiaffino, joins the men’s team this season. Head Coach Agnes Gee, now in her sixth year, aims to improve upon recent seasons and secure conference titles for both teams. The teams’ schedules are available online, with key matches set against regional opponents and at the SAA Championships in late April.
