Millsaps Senior EJ Ousley Named SAA Baseball Player of the Week
MILLSAPS COLLEGE — Senior shortstop EJ Ousley of Millsaps College has been named the Southern Athletic Association Baseball Player of the Week. The award was announced Monday following a conference-wide sports information director vote.
Ousley powered the Majors to victories over Huntingdon, Hardin-Simmons, and North Park last week. He posted a .647 on-base percentage, a .900 slugging percentage, and batted .600 (6-for-10) across the three games. His performance included a homer, nine RBIs, five runs, three walks, two sacrifice flies, two hit-by-pitches, and a stolen base.
The Prattville, Alabama, native earned his first weekly conference honor. Last season, he received honorable mention for All-SAA. Through 10 games in 2026, Ousley leads Millsaps with 12 RBIs, 12 runs, 15 hits, and a .405 batting average.
The Millsaps baseball team returns to action Tuesday and Thursday, hosting Alma College at Twenty Field. The first game begins at 6 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. game on Thursday.
