Men’s Tennis Loses to Copiah-Lincoln 7-2

The Millsaps College men’s tennis team lost to Copiah-Lincoln Community College, 7-2, on Sunday in Wesson, Mississippi, according to school officials.

The Majors secured two of three doubles matches. Sam Tuli and Cooper Payne defeated their opponents 6-1, while Sebastian Gonzalez and Bradley Schiaffino earned a 6-4 win.

In singles play, Copiah-Lincoln dominated. Nikoloz Gurgendize defeated Anderson Causey 6-1, 7-5. Nick Tozer beat Jon Nguyen 6-1, 6-0. Jake Busek edged Sam Tuli 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 in a tiebreaker. James Rooks defeated Cooper Payne 6-4, 6-4. Jax Leggett won over Sebastian Gonzalez 7-5, 6-4. Lane Breland topped Bradley Schiaffino 6-3, 1-6, 10-8.
