Loyola defeats Blue Mountain Christian in SSAC game
New Orleans, La. — Blue Mountain Christian traveled to Loyola on Thursday night for an SSAC game that ended with a 96-66 victory for the host. From the opening tip, the Toppers played with pace and purpose, trying to establish rhythm against a Loyola team that gained early momentum on its home court.
Blue Mountain Christian stayed engaged through the first half, answering runs and pushing the tempo despite the challenging conference environment. In the second half, the Toppers continued to battle, matching Loyola possession by possession as the host team maintained offensive pressure down the stretch.
Esrael Yant led Blue Mountain Christian with a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Hill scored 13 points, while RJ Robinson and Jonathan Baker each added 12 points, providing consistent scoring for the Toppers.
The Toppers will play their final regular-season game against William Carey on Saturday.
