Langston earns second Gulf South Conference weekly honor for baseball
CLINTON, Miss. — Will Langston has received his second Gulf South Conference weekly award, the conference announced Tuesday. The freshman catcher from Vestavia Hills, Alabama, played a key role in four games, batting .364 with a .611 on-base percentage, according to the conference.
Langston recorded four hits, including two doubles, and drew four walks. He was also hit by three pitches, helping him reach base consistently. His top performance came in a three-hit game against Christian Brothers, where he demonstrated his ability to handle pitching and drive the ball.
Defensively, the catcher excelled, recording 19 putouts without an error. This is the second weekly honor for Langston and the fourth for the program this season. The team resumes play Tuesday, hosting West Alabama in a non-conference game at 5 p.m.
