BATON ROUGE, La. — Jones University’s baseball team swept a doubleheader against Baton Rouge Community College at Pete Goldsby Field on Friday afternoon.
Sanders Ainsworth drove in five of Jones’s six runs in the first game. Canyon Reeves pitched five innings of two-hit ball in the second game, helping the Bobcats secure the sweep.
Jones improved to 5-1, while BRCC dropped to 0-5. The two teams will conclude the four-game series Sunday at Community Bank Park. The start time has been moved up an hour to 1 p.m. for two seven-inning games.
