Jackson State’s Paige Hubert Named SWAC Bowler of the Year; Henderson, Washington Earn All-Conference Honors

Jackson, Miss. — The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its individual award winners and all-SWAC teams for the 2025-26 bowling season on Thursday. Jackson State led the way with four honors, including Bowler of the Year for Paige Hubert.

Hubert, a junior, posted a season average of 192.36 over 28 games, with a total of 5,386 pins. Her performance in the SWAC West Roundup boosted her to first place, averaging 209.07 and tallying 2,927 pins. She finished her final 14 games with a 175.64 average and 2,459 pins. Hubert is only the second Tiger to earn Bowler of the Year honors, following Briana Reid in 2016.

Faith Washington, a senior, had a career year in conference play, averaging 184.96 with 5,179 pins. Her best showing came at the West Roundup, where she posted a 188.29 average and 2,636 pins. Tiara Henderson, a freshman from Detroit, dominated in her first collegiate roundup, finishing with a 190.64 average and 2,669 pins over three days, placing her third among all players. She concluded the season with a 187.25 average and 5,243 pins.

Jackson State coach Michael Boykins, in his 12th season, was named Coach of the Year. His team finished with a 46-33 overall record and went 24-4 in SWAC matches. The Tigers secured their first regular-season SWAC championship since 2016 and their third during Boykins’s tenure.
