Jackson State Women’s Bowling Wins SWAC Regular Season Title for First Time Since 2016
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Jackson State’s women’s bowling team clinched the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) regular season title after a flawless day of play, finishing with a 22-2 record against conference opponents, according to the school.
The Tigers continued their dominant performance in the second day of the SWAC East Roundup, opening with an 878-775 victory over Southern. They then defeated Alabama A&M 870-851 and Florida A&M 980-780 to extend their winning streak. The team concluded the day with wins over No. 2 seed Alabama State (867-826) and Grambling State (885-547), securing the conference crown, school officials said.
Jackson State has one more day of competition remaining, scheduled for Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Three players remain in the top 10 individual standings. Faith Washington is third with a 188.50 average and 1,881 total pins. Tiara Henderson and MacKenzie Conway are sixth and seventh, respectively, the school said.
