Jackson State Women’s Bowling Advances to SWAC Tournament Second Round

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Jackson State Tigers opened their postseason quest with a win over Alabama A&M in the SWAC Tournament at the International Bowling Training and Research Center on Friday.

The Tigers took an early lead with a 919-867 victory in the traditional game. They secured their advancement with a 924-801 win in the Baker five-game portion of the match. Jackson State will face No. 3 seed Alabama State on Saturday at 1 p.m., with the winner advancing to the tournament’s championship round.

Faith Washington led the Tigers in individual performance, posting a one-game total of 213. Freshman Tiara Henderson followed with a 200 total, and Saida Lugo added a 193 in her second career SWAC Tournament appearance. Paige Hubert and MacKenzie Conway contributed with totals of 158 and 155, respectively.
