Hinds Golf Finishes Third at Lou Hart Invitational

The Hinds Community College men’s golf team finished third at the Lou Hart Invitational held at Northwood Country Club in Meridian, Mississippi. The Eagles improved their team score from 12 over par in the first round to just 2 over in the second, finishing the event at 14 over overall, according to school officials.

The team’s steady improvement helped them secure a podium position in a competitive field that included several nationally ranked programs. Hinds was led individually by Christopher Cain, who shot a combined 68 over the two rounds. Cain’s performance included a strong second round, which anchored the Eagles’ lineup.

Stephen Faucheaux finished with a 69, while Cole Baglione added a 72 to the team’s effort. Trevor Antley and Jarrett Pettis also contributed important rounds, rounding out the scoring for Hinds. Noah, competing as an individual, gained valuable experience against a strong field.

Mississippi Gulf Coast claimed the team championship, with Meridian Community College finishing second, just ahead of Hinds. The Eagles will return to competition on April 12 for the first round of the MACCC Championship, hosted by Southwest Mississippi Community College in Brookhaven.
