Four Millsaps Women’s Basketball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. — Four Millsaps College women’s basketball players have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team for the 2025-26 season, the organization announced Tuesday.
The recognition comes after the team won its second postseason title in program history and made its fourth NCAA Division III Tournament appearance this season. The four student-athletes exemplify strong academic performance and athletic dedication.
Junior Tia Anderson, a double major in Psychology and Health & Exercise Science, maintained a 3.96 GPA. Anderson, a two-time Club 40 member and three-time president’s list honoree, started all 29 games, totaling 484 points and 234 rebounds. She was named to the All-SAA Second Team and the SAA Tournament Team.
Garin Freeman, a junior guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, holds a 3.95 GPA and has been recognized on the president’s list four times. She made the All-SAA First Team for the second consecutive season and ranks first nationally with 195 assists this season. Freeman also earned tournament MVP honors and All-Region recognition from D3hoops.com.
Bailey Johnson, a psychology major with a 3.68 GPA, was named to the All-District team for the first time. The Metairie, Louisiana native started 28 games, making 45 three-pointers and averaging 5.6 points per game. She also serves as vice president of the Student Body Association and is involved in various campus leadership roles.
Senior Elysee Warren, a double major in Mathematics and Neuroscience with a 3.90 GPA, is a Rhodes Scholarship finalist. She holds the program records for single-season and career rebounds and ranks third nationally in rebounds per game. Warren has been named an All-American Honorable Mention and was a finalist for the Jostens Trophy.
Warren’s achievements include setting the conference record with 33 rebounds in a game and surpassing 1,200 career points and rebounds, the first player in program history to do so. She also earned multiple All-Region and All-Conference honors, along with recognition as the SAA Defensive Athlete of the Year.
