JACKSON, Miss. — William Carey University junior Ashley Estabrook has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Women’s Golf Player of the Week, the conference announced.
Estabrook led the Owls to a third-place finish at the Centenary College Hal Sutton Classic, which took place from March 15-22. The Owls finished behind Mississippi College and Jackson College among seven teams. Estabrook finished 15th overall, with rounds of 85 and 89 for a total of 174 over 36 holes.
This marks Estabrook’s fifth straight top-20 finish this season. Her performance helped the team, and her consistency has been a key strength, according to William Carey head coach Benji Williams. “We are very proud of Ashley,” Williams said. “One of the strengths of her game is her consistency, and that has greatly benefited the entire team this season. She is very deserving of this honor.”
