Delta State Swim and Dive Sets Multiple All-American Finishes at NCAA Division II Championships
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Delta State University’s swim and dive team showcased strong performances Wednesday at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships at the Deaconess Aquatic Center. The team earned several All-American honors, including a third-place finish from diver Santiago Santodomingo.
Santodomingo led the divers with a score of 528.75 in the 1-meter diving finals, earning first-team All-America honors and 16 points for the team. In the pool, the Lady Statesmen posted multiple top finishes. Zinna Nimander placed eighth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.87 seconds, earning first-team All-America honors and 11 points. Olivia Murphy finished 11th in 22.94 seconds, earning second-team All-America honors and six points.
The team also scored in the 200-yard medley relay, where Kaley Davis, Nimander, Murphy, and Chloe Skelt finished sixth in 1:39.92. Their performance secured first-team All-America honors and 26 points for Delta State. In distance freestyle, Mateus Franco finished ninth in the 1,000-yard event with a time of 9:03.78, earning second-team All-America and nine points.
Chloe Skelt added to the tally with a 15th-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:04.17, earning second-team All-America honors and two points. The men’s relay team of Franco, Jacob Hamblen, Kacper Mochnal, and Ethan Baylin finished 14th in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:28.71, earning second-team All-America honors and six points.
After two days, the Lady Statesmen are tied for ninth place with 53 points, while the Statesmen sit in 14th with 31 points. The championships continue through Saturday at the Deaconess Aquatic Center.
