Delta State Finishes 16th at Southeastern Collegiate Golf Tournament

Delta State finished 16th at the 2026 First Federal Southeastern Collegiate on Tuesday at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia. The team posted rounds of 291, 293, and 305 for a 54-hole total of 889 on the 7,257-yard, par-72 course.

Freshman Hayden Webber led the Statesmen, tying for 62nd at 224 (+8). He shot rounds of 74, 76, and 74. Senior Peter Blazevic finished tied for 65th at 225 (+9), with rounds of 74, 72, and 79. Gonzalo De Minon ended tied for 77th at 227 (+11), with scores of 75 in each of the first two rounds and a 77 in the final round.

Payne Bius recorded a tied-for-80th finish at 228 (+12), highlighted by a second-round 74. Sophomore Ty Werynski withdrew during the final round after opening with scores of 68 and 72. Werynski’s early rounds helped contribute to the team’s efforts.

The tournament featured 16 teams, including 12 nationally ranked programs. West Florida won the team title with a total of 843 (-21), while Lincoln Memorial’s Harry Dickins earned medalist honors with a 203 (-13).

Delta State will return to competition in two weeks at the Arkansas Collegiate, hosted by Southern Arkansas University. The event is scheduled for March 23 and 24 at Mystic Creek Golf Course in El Dorado, Arkansas.
