Delta State Finishes 11th at Arkansas Collegiate Golf Tournament

EL DORADO, Ark. — The Delta State University men’s golf team finished 11th at the 2026 Arkansas Collegiate, hosted by Southern Arkansas at Mystic Creek Golf Club, according to the school.

The Statesmen posted a three-round team score of 972 (326-326-320) in a field of 15 teams. The team improved each day, with its lowest round of 320 coming in the final round, helping them climb the leaderboard.

Individually, Niko Salmi, a junior, led Delta State with rounds of 81-80-84, finishing tied for 45th with a total score of 245. Freshman Payne Bius contributed with rounds of 80-81-79, totaling 240 and finishing tied for 27th overall.

The Arkansas Collegiate featured 15 teams and was contested over 54 holes at Mystic Creek Golf Club, a prominent course in the region.

Delta State is scheduled to compete next week in the Music City Invitational in Old Hickory, Tennessee, as part of its spring schedule, the school said.
