Delta State Athletics Schedule Features Basketball and Tennis Events

Delta State University’s athletic programs are active this week, with basketball teams traveling for away games and women’s tennis hosting an exhibition match Saturday.

The women’s basketball team plays Christian Brothers on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Memphis, Tennessee. The men’s team faces Christian Brothers later that evening at 7:30 p.m., with both games offering live stats, streaming options, and radio broadcasts.

On Saturday, the women’s tennis team hosts Tennessee State in an exhibition match at 2 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club. The same day, the women’s basketball team plays Union at 2 p.m. in Jackson, Tennessee, followed by the men’s game against Union at 4 p.m. Both basketball games will have live stats, streaming, and radio options available.

Additionally, the First Pitch Dinner takes place Saturday at 6 p.m. in Wyatt Gym. Tickets for the event are on sale now. No other athletic events are scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25.

This week’s headlines include ten Delta State student-athletes earning Gulf South Conference all-academic honors and the announcement that the university’s teams are ranked second in the GSC preseason poll.
