Dacory Porter Receives Second Team All-GSC Honors

Delta State University redshirt junior Dacory Porter has been named to the Gulf South Conference All-Conference team, the conference announced Monday. Porter was selected to the second team after leading the Statesmen in scoring and assists during the 2025-26 season.

The Jackson native ranked among the top scorers in the GSC, averaging 17.7 points per game, which was fifth in the conference. In conference play, he increased his scoring to 19.6 points per game, third in the GSC. Porter also was a reliable free throw shooter, hitting 82.2% from the line, second-best in the conference.

Porter also contributed as a playmaker, averaging 3.4 assists per game and totaling 93 assists for the season. Despite facing double teams, he consistently distributed the ball effectively throughout the year.

The Statesmen finished their season with an 11-17 record and made their third straight appearance in the Gulf South Conference Championship Tournament, according to the school.
