Breland and Sieper Earn Academic All-District Honors from CSC

GREENWOOD, Ind. — College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 women’s basketball Academic All-District selections Thursday. Hayleigh Breland and Morgan Sieper of Southern Mississippi made the list for their performance on the court and in the classroom, according to a CSC release.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 75% of their team’s games or start in 67% of those contests. The All-District teams honor the top student-athletes across NCAA divisions and NAIA.

Breland, a Wiggins, Mississippi, native, completed her college career this season after transferring from Charlotte and Jackson State. She started 30 games, averaging 11.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Breland also recorded 67 assists and 32 steals. She is enrolled in Southern Miss’s kinesiology program and is set to graduate in May.

Sieper, from Tampa, Florida, is a two-time All-District selection. She played in 29 games this season, with one start, averaging 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds. The junior also made 23 three-pointers and contributed 20 assists and 15 steals. She plans to complete her bachelor’s degree in business administration this fall and begin a master’s program in business administration at Southern Miss this spring.

The CSC All-America program recognizes student-athletes in four divisions for their combined academic and athletic excellence, according to the release.
