Blue Mountain Christian softball sweeps doubleheader against US Sports University
Blue Mountain Christian softball swept a doubleheader against United States Sports University on Friday, winning 8-6 and 8-0 at home. The Toppers showcased a balanced offense and consistent pitching in both games, according to team sources.
In the first game, Blue Mountain Christian overcame a back-and-forth contest to secure the win. The team collected 10 hits and scored runs in six different innings. Kelsey Camp led the offensive effort with a 4-for-4 performance, including a double and an RBI. Maryn Macri added two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs. RBIs came from Anna Harrison, Aspen Teague, Karen Wisher, and Laklyn Nichols.
Gail Wisher pitched all seven innings, holding off multiple rallies and securing the victory with timely offense backing her up. The momentum carried into the nightcap, where the Toppers dominated with an 8-0 shutout. They scored six runs in the third inning and maintained control with strong defense and effective pitching.
