Blue Mountain Christian Men Open 2026 Tennis Season with 7-0 Win Over Millsaps

NEW ALBANY, Miss. — The Blue Mountain Christian University men’s tennis team defeated Millsaps College 7-0 Saturday afternoon in New Albany, Miss., opening their season with a dominant performance.

The Toppers secured the team point with three doubles victories. Adriaan Engelbrecht and Kevin Kotzé won on Court 1 with a 6-1 score, Pablo Cruz and Luis Lainer took Court 2 6-4, and Caleb Rogers and Craig Blevins won 6-2 on Court 3.

In singles play, Engelbrecht claimed victory on Court 1 with scores of 6-2, 6-4. Kotzé earned wins on Court 2, 6-3, 7-5, while Cruz won on Court 3, 7-5, 6-2. Lainer secured a win on Court 4, 6-0, 6-1. Shriraam Anbanantan easily won on Court 5, 6-1, 6-2, and Maj Langerholz completed the sweep with a 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 victory on Court 6.

Blue Mountain Christian (1-0) is scheduled to play next on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. against Rust College in Holly Springs, Miss., according to the school.
