Blue Mountain Christian delivered a dominant offensive performance Thursday, winning 18-2 against United States Sports University in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
The Toppers surrendered an early two-run homer in the first inning but responded quickly. United States Sports took an early 2-0 lead with a solo homer, but Blue Mountain Christian answered in the bottom of the first, tying the game at 2-2.
Blue Mountain Christian’s offense then took over, scoring six runs in the second inning and building momentum. A decisive fourth inning saw the Toppers score 10 more runs, effectively sealing the mercy-rule victory. The team combined aggressive base running, clutch hitting, and consistent pressure at the plate.
Maryn Macri drove in four runs, while Kelsey Camp matched her with four RBIs. Chloe Shelton added three RBIs, and Anna Harrison scored three runs, collected multiple hits, and stole two bases, keeping the pressure on the defense all afternoon.
