Blue Mountain Christian Completes Senior Day Sweep Over Rust

Share: Blue Mountain Christian celebrated Senior Day with a commanding victory over Rust, sweeping the Bearcats in their final regular-season home match. The Toppers honored seniors Luis Lainer and Pablo Cruz before the match, recognizing their contributions to the program.

The team set the tone early in doubles competition, winning all three matches convincingly. Adriaan Engelbrecht and Lainer won 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, while Cruz and Kevin Kotzé secured a 6-1 victory. Caleb Rogers and Craig Blevins completed the doubles sweep with a 6-0 win at third doubles.

The momentum carried into singles play, where the Toppers continued to dominate the court. Engelbrecht defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-1, and Cruz posted a 6-2, 6-4 victory. Kotzé and Blevins each finished undefeated, with 6-0, 6-0 sweeps. Shiraam Anbanantan contributed a 6-0, 6-3 win, and Lainer closed out Senior Day with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

With the regular season complete, Blue Mountain Christian will prepare for the upcoming SSAC Tournament, according to school officials.
