Bethel women’s tennis defeats Blue Mountain Christian 7-0

McKenzie, Tennessee – The Blue Mountain Christian women’s tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to Bethel University on Tuesday in a nonconference matchup.

Bethel claimed all three doubles courts to take an early lead. Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos played on the top court but lost 6-1. Lina Cetina and Lucia Garcia were defeated 6-2 in the No. 2 doubles match. Kiersten Terris and Nami Malyaporn finished doubles with a 6-1 result on court three.

In singles play, Mordiz was competitive but fell 6-0, 6-4 on the top court. Ramos lost 6-1, 6-0. Cetina pushed her opponent to a tiebreaker before falling 10-4. Malyaporn and Garcia each lost in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3. Terris was defeated 6-0, 6-0.

Blue Mountain Christian will look to rebound in its next match, according to team representatives.
