ATLANTA — Belhaven University swept the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors on Monday. Junior guard CJ Minton was named the conference’s Player of the Week, while freshman guard Braylon Dame earned Rookie of the Week recognition, according to CCS officials.

He totaled 15 assists and four steals over the week and shot 73% from the free-throw line. Minton scored a season-high 26 points at Huntingdon last Tuesday and added 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting against Maryville, the CCS said.
Dame contributed offensively as well, averaging 12.3 points and 2.3 rebounds across three games. He scored in double figures at Huntingdon and against Piedmont, making four three-pointers. His efforts helped Belhaven secure victories in both games, CCS officials noted.
