Head coach Jack Edmonson praised his team’s resilience, saying, “Saturday was a tough day, and I’m proud of the toughness shown by our guys. We had several things that went against us in game one, and we continued to play hard. When you’re on the road against a good opponent, it gets tough. I’m glad we were willing to fight and bring back at least one win.”
Southwest (21-15, 5-7 in conference) is scheduled to face Hinds on the road Tuesday, March 31.
