Arie’Onna McCollum Named OWL of the Week for Women’s Track & Field

Arie’Onna McCollum of the women’s track and field team was named OWL of the Week for the period of March 16-22, 2026, according to school officials.

McCollum, a junior, broke her own school record in the javelin with a throw of 35.96 meters at the Belhaven Invitational. Her previous best was 35.27 meters.

In addition to her javelin performance, McCollum finished fifth in both the discus and hammer throw events. Her efforts helped her team secure strong showings at the meet.
