Addison Owen Named SLIAC Softball Player of the Week

Addison Owen of the softball team has been named the SLIAC Player of the Week for April 6-12, 2026. Owen led her team to a 4-0 record during the week and helped them sit alone atop the league standings, according to the conference.

Owen, the league’s top hitter with a .526 batting average, posted a slash line of .733/.722/1.067 last week. She went 5-for-5 in a game against Eureka and recorded three multi-hit games out of four played. She now has 15 multi-hit games this season, the conference said.

The standout hitter also drew praise for her discipline at the plate, posting zero strikeouts last week. She contributed multiple RBIs and runs scored in every game while playing errorless defense, the league added.

Owen’s performance helped her team maintain its lead in the standings as the regular season continues, according to the conference.
