Landshark could become on field mascot

The Ole Miss student body ASB will vote on September 26th to replace the current mascot, a black bear, with the Landshark. The team will still be known as the Rebels but if the vote gets “overwhelming” support, it is expected that the mascot change will happen in the next year.
